These silicone leveling agents effectively reduce the surface tension of the system, improve flow and leveling, enhance the slip and gloss of the paint film, and increase resistance to abrasion and scratching. They improve wetting of the substrate and prevent cratering. In pigmented systems, they prevent floating and flooding while exhibiting excellent compatibility with coating resins. Even in cases of overdosing, they do not cause cratering as typical silicone products might, and they allow recoating. They are widely applicable to solvent-based coatings.
Applications:
JS-3038 is widely suitable for all solvent-based air-drying paints and various inks.
JS-3038S is characterized by enhanced substrate wetting and outstanding anti-floating and anti-flooding performance. It is suitable for all solvent-based coatings, especially pigmented systems. It is particularly recommended for air-drying and baking synthetic resin paints, chlorinated rubber paints, nitro-modified paints, polyurethane paints, and inks.
JS-3048 is characterized by enhanced surface slip, reduced surface tension, and significant resistance to interlayer adhesion.
It is suitable for wood coatings, furniture coatings, and industrial coatings.
Usage and Dosage:
JS-3038: 0.5% - 5% of the total formulation weight, can be added at any stage of the production process.
JS-3038S: 1% - 6% of the total formulation weight, can be added at any stage of the production process.
JS-3048: 0.1% - 1.0% of the total formulation weight, can be added at any stage of the production process.
