Functions and Applications:

This product is a zero-VOC colorless transparent liquid with excellent miscibility with many organic solvents and strong permeability. Compared with isophorone (commonly known as 783), DBE, and benzyl alcohol, it delivers superior overall performance and can serve as a complete substitute. As a zero-VOC solvent, PEPH exhibits excellent solvency for various resins including acrylic resin, nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose, epoxy resin, alkyd resin, and phenoxy resin.

It is classified as a slightly toxic substance and contains no heavy metals such as Pb. It is commonly used as a solvent and modifier for toy coatings, paints, printing inks, and ballpoint pens; a penetrating agent for stamp pad inks; an anti-clogging agent for screen printing inks; a penetrating and antibacterial agent in detergents; and a film-forming aid for water-based coatings. As a dye solvent, it enhances the dissolving power of PVC plasticizers. Leveraging its strong solvency, it can be used as a plasticizer in leather surface treatment, for cleaning printed circuit boards and plastic surface finishing, and as a fragrance preservative and diluent in cosmetics. It is an ideal solvent for parabens and a preferred solvent and penetration enhancer for hair dye colorants and nail polish pigments. It can also be used as a solvent and diluent in automotive coatings, improving leveling and enhancing film gloss. Additionally, it serves as an intermediate raw material for UV resins, as an anesthetic, as an extraction agent in the petroleum industry, in UV-curable formulations, and as a mobile phase in liquid chromatography. In textile printing and dyeing auxiliaries, it is used as a raw material for degreasing agents, leveling agents, and repair agents.
