Functions and Applications:

Diethylene Glycol Phenyl Ether is a new type of zero-VOC, high-boiling-point environmentally friendly organic solvent, and is a fully upgraded product of Ethylene Glycol Phenyl Ether (EPH). It is a colorless transparent liquid with a slight rose fragrance and low volatility. Due to its excellent miscibility with many organic solvents and strong permeability, it demonstrates superior overall performance compared to Isophorone (commonly known as 783), DBE, and Benzyl Alcohol, and can be used as a substitute in certain applications. It exhibits excellent solubility for various resins including acrylic resin, nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose, epoxy resin, alkyd resin, and phenoxy resin.

Diethylene Glycol Phenyl Ether is classified as a slightly toxic substance and contains no heavy metals such as Pb. It is commonly used as a solvent and modifier for toy paints, paints, and printing inks; a penetrating agent for stamp pad inks; an anti-clogging agent for screen printing inks; a penetrating and antibacterial agent in detergents; and a film-forming coalescent for water-based coatings. As a dye solvent, it enhances the dissolving power of PVC plasticizers. Leveraging its strong solvency, it is used as a plasticizer in leather surface treatment, for cleaning printed circuit boards and plastic surface treatment, and as a fragrance protectant and diluent in cosmetics. It is an ideal solvent for parabens and a preferred solvent and penetration enhancer for hair dyes and nail polish colorants. In pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, it serves as an ideal mild corrosion inhibitor and antibacterial agent, and can be used as an intermediate raw material for UV resins as well as an anesthetic. In the petroleum industry, it is used as an extraction solvent. It is also applied in UV curing agents, liquid chromatography mobile phases, and as a raw material for textile dyeing and printing auxiliaries such as deoiling agents, leveling agents, and repairing agents. Additionally, it can be used as a flash point enhancer in lubricating oils.
