Colorless transparent liquid with an ester-like odor. It hydrolyzes slowly in water to form the corresponding silanol.

Applications:

        1. Used for hydrophobic treatment of glass fiber surfaces and surface treatment of plastic laminates.
        2. Reacts with diethyl hydrazine and glycidyl methacrylate to form modified coupling agents for preparing reinforced sizing agents.
        3. Can copolymerize with various monomers (e.g., ethylene, propylene, butylene, etc.) or graft polymerize with corresponding resins.
        4. Excellent adhesion promoter for silicone rubber to metal and fabric.
        5. Crosslinking agent for crosslinked polyethylene.
        6. Used in the preparation of exterior architectural coatings.
