Functions and applications:
BG-EPA is a colorless transparent liquid with a pleasant floral and fruity aroma. Its pH value is 7.0, and its solubility in water at 35°C is 0.188 g/100 mL. It is soluble in alcohols, ethers, esters, benzene, hydrocarbons, etc. ND25 1.5083, surface tension 37.8 dynes/cm (35°C), viscosity 53.0×10³ poise (35°C). This product is non-toxic to humans and livestock, making it an environmentally friendly product.
This product is a bifunctional high-grade industrial solvent with solvent performance superior to ethylene glycol ethers, propylene glycol ethers, and general-purpose solvents. It serves as an excellent solvent for various polymer materials, such as resins, rubber, cellulose, natural polymers (various oils and fats, waxes, rosin, etc.), and synthetic polymers. When used in coatings, inks, and adhesives, it can significantly enhance product performance.
Due to its high boiling point and moderate evaporation rate, this product imparts slow-drying characteristics to paints, making it particularly suitable for colored paints and latex paints. In the automotive and home appliance industries, it serves as an auxiliary solvent for baking finishes, significantly improving their performance. In the textile printing and dyeing industry, it is used as a solvent for textile finishing auxiliaries, suitable for transfer printing processes.
Using this product as a raw material, a series of chemical products can be prepared, such as photosensitizers, photopolymerization initiators, liquid crystal aligning agents, insect repellents, acaricides, pesticide efficacy indicators, and various EPA derivatives.
This product can also be used as a film-forming aid, anthraquinone dye dispersant, plasticizer, liquid detergent, fungicide, etc.Packaging and storage:
